On Rosetta Stone, our teacher makes us do 2 hours almost every other week based on what we've learned so far. It is a good site if you already have a good base and are either reviewing, or learning concurrently, or you already have a firm grasp on the basics of the language and trying to improve. On Rosetta Stone, I learned how to read, write, speak, and understand the vocabulary and grammar of Spanish in about 3 months. I decided to put this activity on my website, because it was really helpful and I learned a lot of new words that I never knew about before.

Trashketball For this game, the teacher asks us how to say something in Spanish based on the vocabulary and grammar we have learned so far this year. For example he would say "How do you say, I like to play basketball every day." The person who raises their hand first and gets the answer right, then they get to shoot the trashketball. There is tape marked on the ground that represents 2,4,6,8,and 24 tickets. If someone gets twelve tickets total then they could get any king sized candy they want. I put this activity on my website, because I really like to play basketball and it's somewhat similar.

Cinco al DiaThis assignment is something we do every day. We do something called "cinco al dia" (five a day), where we have to translate five phrases that our teacher puts up on the padlet wall. Most of the time they are fairly easy, but other times I have to look at my Spanish vocabulary sheet in order to get the right answer. We are all allowed to use our vocabulary sheet so it's not considered cheating . This assignment helps me practice our vocabulary, so when the test comes up I won't struggle or get a bad grade.

Bingo In class we played Spanish vocabulary bingo. First, we had to fill in all the boxes with vocabulary words that we have been studying since the first day of school. After about 3-5 minutes we would start. Our teacher gets a vocabulary sheet with all the words we've been studying and calls out random words or questions. Whoever gets five vocabulary words or phrases in a row: horizontal o diagonal, they get a ticket. When we get up to twelve tickets, we can get all sorts of king size candy: Snikers, Twix, M&M's, Skittles, and Starburst. I enjoyed eating all that delicious candy. From this activity, I learned how to read, write, speak, and understand Spanish faster.
